There are two very useful verbs in order to politely ask for something:

Use BORROW is as if you are using the word TAKE (Puedo coger…)
Can I borrow the mesure?
Can I borrow the drill?

Use LEND is as if you are using the word GIVE (Me dejas…)
Can you lend me the scissors?
Can you lend me the cutter?
Can you lend me the screwdriver?
