  1. This book doesn’t tell a simple story, in fact it has 9 completely different stories about different topics in South Asia. At the beginning I found it a little bit boring because I didn´t understand the focus of the small narration, however when I continue reading all these doubts disappeared. I really enjoy this book because I learnt a lot about the life in india, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The type of narration are very variable, one is a love story, another is about the problems between the relatives of a family, other is the educational system of places without resources…
I honestly think that it is very didactic to read this book. You can have fun but you also know and learn other culture and how the people of these places think.
One of the interesting things of “Land of my Childhood” is that there are some non-english words and at the end of the book they explain you what is the meaning of them.
I recommend this book to people who want to open their minds to the knowledge.
