Surcos de La Palma es una tienda de artesanía con historia.

Es un proyecto que pretende compartir una identidad común.

Es la tienda de los productos de siempre que han vuelto a estar más vivos que nunca. Todo lo que nuestra memoria guarda de tiempos de ante vuelve a tener un uso cotidiano.

Con este idea nace un proyecto que intenta fomentar la economía de la isla apoyando al artesano local y poniendo así nuestro granito de arena en la perpetuación de nuestra artesanía.

¿Cómo lo haremos?, precisamente a través de ellos, que con su tenacidad y esfuerzo llevan grabadas en sus manos los surcos de un legado que ha pasado de generación en generación. De ahí nuestro nombre, creando una artesanía simple y rústica pero de extraordinaria belleza.

Estos productos genuinos y de altísima calidad han llegado a nuestro corazón y esperamos que también al vuestro.

Surcos de La Palma

”Surcos” sind die Furchen, die zum Bewässern der Felder benutzt werden. ”Surcos”

durchziehen aber auch die Handfläche (la palma) derer, die mit den Händen arbeiten. ”La

Palma” ist ebenfalls der Ort des Geschehens und mit diesem Wortspiel beschreibt Nieves den

Hintergrund ihres Ladens. Traditionelle Handwerke, die von Generation zu Generation

weitergegeben wurden und eng mit der Geschichte der Insel verwoben sind, sollen nicht in

Vergessenheit geraten. Alle Stücke wurden hier auf La Palma von einheimischen Handwerkern

angefertigt und finden auch in unserem modernen Leben leicht ihren Platz. Hochwertig und nur

aus heimischer Produktion und Anbau sind auch die Lebensmittel: Honig, Käse, Salz und vieles

andere wird wie der Wein hauptsächlich manuell und auf traditionelle Weise hergestellt.

Nieves, die selbst passionierte Kunsthandwerkerin ist, weiss, wie viel Arbeit und Können in

jedem einzigartigen Stück steckt. Sie schafft mit ihrem Laden einen Zugang zu den Schätzen

der Insel. Präsentiert wird alles in den liebevoll restaurierten Schränken eines alten Dorfladens

in Mazo. Auch hier zählt: 100% La Palma

"Surcos" are the furrows used to irrigate the fields. And such furrows - “Surcos" - also run through the palma ("la palma") of those who work with their hands. "La Palma" is also the place of action and, with this play on words, Nieves describes the background of her shop. Here traditional crafts, handed down from generation to generation and deeply interwoven with the history of the island, are celebrated rather than forgotten. All pieces are made here on La Palma by local craftsmen and easily find their place in our modern life. The local food is of a very high quality: honey, cheese, salt and many other things are produced manually using traditional methods, just like the fine La Palma wine.

Nieves, herself a passionate artisan, knows how much work and skill is put into each unique piece. With her shop she creates an access to the treasures of the island. Everything is presented in the lovingly restored cupboards of an old village shop in Mazo. Here everything is 100% La Palma
