MY VISION BOARD:

Hello my students!

Here is the presentation of your next speaking project for Oral Mediation. As we have learnt different structures to express different future ideas: plans, intentions, predictions, future timetables and actions in progress in the future, now it’s time you show your knowledge and skills to talk about the future with this project.

You have to create your vision board using just one slide in Google Impress or you can also use the app Dibujos in Google.

You can access further instructions and examples in our Classroom- My vision board task.

What is a vision board? Watch this short video How to create a vision board

Read the instructions in the project explanation carefully. You will have to present your vision board orally in the split-up session (clase de desdoble) on Thursday 9th May, so you will have two classes to prepare it, apart from home practising.

1.-The first thing you have to do is copy in your notebook the chart in the instructions and complete it. (Copia y completa la tabla en las instrucciones en tu cuaderno).

2.-Now you can use the information in the chart to search for pictures on the internet for your vision board. You can also create them. (Usa tus notas para buscar o crear las imágenes o dibujos de tu vision board ).

3.-Create your vision board (see the examples). You can use Google apps (documentos, presentaciones, dibujos, etc…) . You can decorate your vision board as you like, but only write the titles and add a couple of pictures to help you describe it orally.

  • Finally, prepare your oral presentation. You need to see the example and write your presentation first to pay attention to the grammar you are going to use.(Fíjate en el ejemplo escrito y prepara el tuyo siguiendo ese modelo. Recuerda que debes usar la gramática que hemos trabajado: -This evening (definite plans with present continuous) -Next weekend (I’m going to + infinitive) -In summer time ( I’m going to…) -In two years (future simple : I will…..) -In 15 years (I willl….. and I will be +v-ing (action in progress in the future).
Example of an oral presentation of a vision board. Listen to the activities the speaker mentions about her future.
