«April Fool’s Day» Pranks: A Past Story

As we talked about in our last English session , “April’s Fool’s Day” is a custom, similar to that of «Día de los Santos Inicentes» in Spain, that is celebrated annually on April 1 and consists of playing practical jokes and deceptions.

You should pay close attention and try to reflect on these questions:

  1. What is one of Bob’s favorite days?
  2. He talks about his favorite prank growing up. What is it?
  3. What prank can’t you pull anymore?
  4. Why can’t you make prank calls anymore?

Remember to take notes while watching the video, in order to reinforce our online listening skills and reinforcing past tenses in English by answering some questions during our debate in our next class session tomorrow.

Proyecto «Theatre, Storytelling and Audiovisual Communication Meeting»

Estimadas familias del alumnado de 2º ESO,

Nos complace informarles que sus hijos e hijas participarán en un proyecto de teatro y cuentacuentos en lenguas extranjeras organizado por la Consejería de Educación, Cultura y Deportes del Gobierno de Canarias, que tendrá lugar el próximo 21 de junio de 2024.

Este proyecto, llamado «Theatre, Storytelling and Audiovisual Communication Meeting», es un encuentro en torno a la narración oral, las artes escénicas y la comunicación audiovisual entre el alumnado de lenguas extranjeras participante en el Programa AICLE de la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias.

Aprendizajes:

  1. Mejora de la competencia lingüística de nuestro alumnado
  2. Desarrollo de sus habilidades artísticas
  3. Relación con otros estudiantes de diferentes centros educativos
  4. Intercambio de experiencias en un ambiente de aprendizaje y de diversión.

Producto:

Nuestro centro educativo participará en el proyecto mediante la realización de un libro hablado online que será únicamente accesible por los centros participantes en el proyecto. Por ello, les pedimos que firmen el modelo adjunto de «Consentimiento informado detratamiento de imágenes/voz del alumnado en centros docentes de titularidad pública de la Consejería de Educación, Universidades, Cultura y Deportes».

El consentimiento informado deberá ser firmado y entregado al centro educativo antes del 30 de abril de 2024. Si tienen alguna pregunta o duda sobre este documento, por favor no duden en ponerse en contacto con nosotros.
