Actions needed to strengthen response capacities to the crisis caused by COVID-19

This action is framed in the EC strategy to make the regulations of European funds more flexible to facilitate member states to deal with the health and socioeconomic situation caused by COVID-19.

The objective, therefore, is to cover those operations started to meet the needs derived from the fight against the disease, such as the acquisition of health equipment, protection elements for health workers and the general population, material and equipment for clinical trials, reinforcements of health and service personnel, reinforcement facilities and services, ICT investments necessary to face the crisis and all those that are justified by the emergency and the health collapse, and the protection of citizens.

The General Directorate of Economic Resources has co-financed expenditure corresponding to material of protection against coronavirus for all health centers of the Canary Islands Health Service for an amount of € 24,159,686.24.
