On 5 and 6 March, the Expomeloneras Exhibition Centre in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, will host the “Internationalisation: Well-being Across Borders” conference, organised by the Office of European Education Programmes in the Canary Islands, under the Deputy Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands , with the collaboration of the CEP Las Palmas and CEP Gran Canaria Sur (Teacher Training Centre of Las Palmas and TTC Gran Canaria Sur).

This event offers a forum for exchange to all centres in the Canary Islands running Internationalisation Erasmus+ projects in the fields of School Education and Adult Education. With an offer of 300 participant places, more than 100 educational centres from across the islands will be represented, along with other centres and teachers interested in getting to know the internationalisation initiatives carried out in the Canary Islands.

In this edition, one of the objectives is to provide the schools and education centres opportunities to expand their international network of contacts and, due to this, we will be joined by European delegations, from Germany, Portugal, Greece, France, Austria, Belgium, Slovakia, Poland, Italy and Croatia, as well as representatives from the OECD, SEPIE, the Spanish Erasmus Agency and the European Commission, which will offer to the Canarian centres possibilities to extend their network connections. We will also present the latest news about the future of the Erasmus+ Program.

The activities programme will include European-level presentations and will start on March 5th at 16:00 with the opening ceremony by the Regional Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activities and Sport of the Government of the Canary Islands, Poli Suárez Nuez, and the Deputy Minister of Education, José Manuel Cabrera Delgado. The event will conclude on March 6th at 15:00.
