- La Acreditación Erasmus+ y el inicio formal de nuestra cooperación
Después de involucrar a nuestro alumnado en actividades a lo largo de toda la semana, nos hemos dedicado a nuestro desarrollo profesional con la asistencia a dos talleres.
La colaboración con nuestros dos expertos invitados desde Irlanda, Lawrence Body y Alex MacKenzie, ha sido fundamental: thank you guys!
My visit began with a warm airport welcome from Cristina and a wonderful Canarian lunch in Arguineguín. Since both Erasmus and my workshop were about creating time and space to share, this was the perfect beginning, setting the tone and foundations for what was to come.
Maspalomas, nestled against the sand dunes those shifting, living, poetic sculptures shaped by the elements is a beautiful reminder of what language teaching is truly about: how teachers, like the wind, help shape students’ learning and foster communication. Our own particular grain of sand in the dunes of time.
EOI Maspalomas has a truly special atmosphere and is an ideal place for learning and a space that naturally inspires communication. This spirit was clearly reflected in the people who work there. During the workshop, we used this space to connect with our breath, anchoring ourselves in the present moment. We cultivated active listening skills designed to foster empathy and reflected on our roles as speakers, listeners, and observers. The group also embraced the nature-based theme with genuine wisdom and compassion.
To sum up, I felt deeply grateful and honoured to contribute to helping teachers explore how mindfulness and emotional awareness can be integrated into the language classroom to enrich learning, enhance well-being, and nurture critical thinking and creativity.
