Our Project

The partnership is engaged in a deep reflection from which the need emerges for a renovation of teaching approaches on a global scale. Therefore, the observation of and participation in different instruction methods, differing educational contexts and contrasting school systems will improve teaching and learning. The motivation of partner schools to participate in this project arises from the need to acquire a European dimension that contributes to their academic and social development by means of methodological openness.

The association experience is characterized by its work expertise in technological skills, teaching skills and good practices in environmental education and active citizenship, European projects managing and implementing, Education Quality Labels, experience in eTwinning projects, teacher training, and educational strategies to increase cultural legacy awareness and promote its knowledge and preservation.

The project is based on three priorities: European cultural heritage: social and educational value, contribution to job creation, to economical growth and social cohesion; social inclusion; integrated approach of instruction and language learning, through innovative learning lines and meaningful methodology.

Students group is aged from 13 to 16; eight of them and two accompanying teachers, selected on the basis of criteria agreed on by the association, will participate in transnational mobilities. As for the teachers’ profile, they will be experienced in the linguistic field, information and communication technologies, physics and chemistry and any other subject related to the project. Chosen students will have been previously prepared for academic work and positive social exchange.

The goals of European cooperation and mobility activities are: introduce changes in teaching methods inspired by the cooperation with European educational institutions; attain better understanding and responsiveness to social, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity in the school community; promote a more active participation in schools and society; increase motivation and satisfaction among students and teachers in their everyday work; develop democratic values and fundamental rights, intercultural dialogue, critical thinking and communicative proficiency.

There will be a variety of activities in the mobilities: workshops, data submissions and debates, environmental awareness campaigns, challenge and photography competitions, lab experiences, lectures, seminars, hiking, orientation races, historic and nature environment routes, visits to companies and museums, sharing good practices. All these activities will be designed and organized to develop cultural heritage awareness, to promote environmental protection and to highlight the need of effective communication in English language.

The implementation of the Project is guided by a creative and critical methodology: research, product design and development, use of information and communication technologies during development and diffusion, cooperative work and students’ interaction, better peer learning, interdisciplinary work.

Activities will be pursued back at the school of origin, where acquired methodological strategies will be applied to the syllabus and in the classroom. Teachers participating in mobilities will share the purchased good practices with the other teachers to contribute to the goal of motivation and innovation improvement. Learning will be contextualized.

Project implementation expected outcomes: Incorporation of good practices in everyday activities, positive impact on people directly or indirectly involved in the activities; greater social participation in collaborative or service-learning projects; higher appreciation of the school as an academical and socio-cultural development sponsor in the community; positive social exchange via intercultural communication and critical thinking, which build and strengthen human values.

The project will have benefits and impact on: reinforcement of culture and traditions, appreciation for the natural environment and its preservation, long-lasting non-formal learning methods, strengthening of intercultural comprehension, inclusion, possibility of setting an example for other people or institutions, growth and maturity of young people with healthy lifestyles, media boost in promoting European citizenship, expansion of students’ and teachers’ product benefits via publication on the European platform eTwinning and Erasmus project results.
