In this exciting learning situation we have studied rocks and minerals, their differences and similarities and the main uses of these natural elements that we extract from the Earth’s crust.
We have also learned about minerals and rocks that can be found in the Canary Islands and we have explored their main uses.
We have studied the physical characteristics of minerals and the different groups into which rocks are classified.
As a culmination of this learning situation, we have carried out this workshop about rocks and minerals classification in which our students have become geologist for a day.

En esta interesante situación de aprendizaje hemos estudiado las rocas y los minerales, sus diferencias y semejanzas y los principales usos de estos elementos naturales que extraemos de la corteza terrestre.
También hemos aprendido sobre los minerales y rocas que se pueden encontrar en Canarias y hemos explorado sus principales usos.
Hemos estudiado las características físicas de los minerales y los diferentes grupos en los que se clasifican las rocas.
Como colofón a esta situación de aprendizaje hemos realizado este taller sobre clasificación de rocas y minerales en el que nuestros alumnos se han convertido en geólogos por un día.
