¿Qué es AICLE? | What is CLIL?
Un proyecto que pretende aumentar y mejorar la competencia lingüística en inglés de nuestro alumnado, ampliando su horario de impartición sin ampliar su horario lectivo, incluyendo contenidos de otras áreas curriculares.
El alumnado utilizará el inglés de forma natural, hasta el punto de olvidarse de que está aprendiendo un idioma y se concentre en los contenidos en que se está instruyendo. Así aprenderá tanto a utilizar el inglés como las materias impartidas en dicho idioma.

CLIL is a project that aims at increasing and improving the linguistic competence in English of our students, extending their timetable without extending their school timetable, including content from other curricular areas.
Students will use English in a natural way, to the point of forgetting that they are learning a language and concentrating on the content they are learning. In this way they will learn to use English as well as the subjects taught in English.

Mejorar en el alumnado su competencia comunicativa en inglés a través de los contenidos curriculares de Física y Química, Matemáticas, Música y Educación Física.
Mejorar el aprendizaje del inglés mediante la utilización de una metodología innovadora.

¿Qué se está haciendo? | What is being done?
Reuniones semanales de coordinación del profesorado que participa en el programa.
Desde las clases de inglés se apoya a las materias AICLE cuando es necesario, trabajando previamente el vocabulario y las estructuras gramaticales que permiten al alumnado seguir sin problemas las sesiones bilingües.
Se pone en práctica una metodología innovadora que incluye entre otros recursos el uso de las Nuevas Tecnologías.
Se elabora (o se busca material) que facilite el aprendizaje.
Participación en proyectos comunes del centro como las Jornadas culturales.

Weekly coordination meetings of the teachers participating in the programme.
English classes support CLIL subjects when necessary, working previously on vocabulary and grammatical structures that allow students to follow the bilingual sessions without problems.
An innovative methodology is put into practice that includes the use of new technologies amongst other resources.
Material that facilitates learning is created (or searched for).
Participation in common school projects such as the Cultural Days.
Sugerencias para las familias
SUGGESTIONS TO FAMILIES
Para que las familias colaboren con la estrategia de aprender el idioma de forma natural e integrada, les hacemos las siguientes sugerencias:
- Mostrar una actitud receptiva hacia el aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa.
- En caso de tener conocimiento de la lengua, establecer momentos en que solo se utilice inglés para comunicarse.
- Utilizar las opciones del mando de la tele para ver películas, series, dibujos, etc. en versión original.
- Animar a sus hijos a conocer la letra de las canciones que escuchan en inglés intentando averiguar lo que significa.

In order for families to collaborate with the strategy of learning the language in a natural and integrated way, we make the following suggestions:
- Show a receptive attitude towards learning the English language.
- In case of having knowledge of the language, establish times when only English is used to communicate.
- Use the options in your TV remote control to watch movies, series, cartoons, etc. in original version.
- Encourage your children to know the lyrics of the songs they listen to in English by trying to find out what they mean.

Matemáticas | Maths
Este curso escolar 2023-2024 el departamento de MATEMÁTICAS participa en el proyecto AICLE al impartir en la ESO docencia en inglés los tres grupos de 2º de la ESO y un grupo de 3º .
Las matemáticas (MATHS) participan de una educación inclusiva siguiendo el modelo de aprendizaje AICLE (metodologías variadas, trabajo cooperativo, uso de las TIC, cooperación alumnado-profesorado-familia, …). El alumnado mejorará su destreza lingüística en el idioma inglés con la ampliación del vocabulario propio de la materia de matemáticas y el refuerzo del lenguaje habitual de clase, teniendo siempre como referente las posibilidades y capacidades reales del alumnado tanto en la lengua vehicular (inglés) como en los aprendizajes propios de la materia.
Para llegar a conseguir mejorar esa destreza se fomentará la participación activa del alumnado de forma que cada vez se sienta más seguro y con mayor fluidez en el uso de la lengua inglesa. Hecho que les podrá ayudar en su futuro profesional y personal, así como enfrentarse con éxito a distintas situaciones que se pueda encontrar en este mundo cada vez más globalizado, en el que el dominio del inglés es básico y fundamental.

This 2023-2024 school year, the MATHEMATICS department participates in the CLIL project by providing teaching in English to the three 2nd year ESO groups and one 3rd year group.
Mathematics (MATHS) participates in an inclusive education following the CLIL learning model (varied methodologies, cooperative work, use of ICT, student-teacher-family cooperation,…). The students will improve their linguistic skills in the English language by expanding their vocabulary specific to the subject of mathematics and reinforcing the usual school language, always taking as a reference the real possibilities and abilities of the students both in the vehicular language (English) and in the learning of the subject.
In order to improve this skill, the active participation of students will be encouraged so that they increasingly feel more confident and more fluent in the use of the English language. A fact that can help them in their professional and personal future, as well as successfully face different situations that may be found in this increasingly globalized world, in which English skills are essential.
Música | Music
Música es una de las materias que el alumnado puede aprender a través del idioma inglés, dentro del Proyecto AICLE en el Alonso Quesada.
Utilizando variados recursos como los instrumentos musicales y las tecnologías, conseguimos que el alumnado a través de una metodología innovadora que fomenta el trabajo cooperativo, el uso de las TICs y la expresión musical y la creatividad, aprenda música y refuerce y amplíe sus conocimientos del idioma.

Music is one of the subjects that students can learn through the English language, within the CLIL Project at Alonso Quesada.
Using various resources such as musical instruments and technologies, we achieve that students, through innovative technology that encourages cooperative work, the use of ICTs and musical expression and creativity, learn music and reinforce and expand their knowledge of the language.
Educación Física | Physical Education
Este curso escolar 2023-2024, el departamento de Educación Física participa en el proyecto AICLE al impartir docencia en inglés a todo el alumnado, la base de 1° ESO a 2 ESO y el programa reglado hasta 1° Bachillerato
La Educación Física (PHYSICAL EDUCATION) participa de una educación inclusiva y siguiendo el modelo de aprendizaje AICLE (metodologías variadas, trabajo cooperativo, uso de las TIC, cooperación alumnado-profesorado-familia, …), el alumnado mejorará su destreza lingüística en el idioma inglés, logrando así un aprendizaje significativo con independencia de la competencia motriz y de la competencia en comunicación lingüística de partida.

This school year 2023-2024, the Physical Education department participates in the CLIL project by teaching in English to all our students, the foundation from 1st to 2nd of ESO and the actual program up to 1st of Bachillerato.
Physical Education (PHYSICAL EDUCATION) participates in an inclusive education and follows the CLIL learning model (varied methodologies, cooperative work, use of ICT, student-teacher-family cooperation, …) It will help students improve their language skills in English, thus achieving meaningful learning regardless of the motor and linguistic competences’ starting point.
Física y Química | Physics and Chemistry
Física y Química es una de las materias que el alumnado puede aprender a través del idioma inglés, dentro del Proyecto AICLE en el Alonso Quesada.
Física y Química se trabaja desde la educación inclusiva y siguiendo, entre otros, el modelo de aprendizaje AICLE (metodologías variadas, trabajo cooperativo, uso de las TIC, cooperación alumnado-profesorado-familia, …), el alumnado mejorará su destreza lingüística en el idioma inglés con la ampliación del vocabulario propio de la materia y el refuerzo del lenguaje habitual de clase, teniendo siempre como referente las posibilidades y competencias del alumnado.

Physics and Chemistry is one of the subjects that students can learn through the English language, within the CLIL Project in Alonso Quesada.
Physics and Chemistry is worked from an inclusive education view and following, among others, the CLIL learning model (varied methodologies, cooperative work, use of ICT, student-teacher-family cooperation, …), students will improve their linguistic skills in the English language with the expansion of the vocabulary of the subject and the reinforcement of the classroom language, always taking as a reference the possibilities, skills and knowledge of the students.
Geografía e Historia | Geography and History
En el IES Alonso Quesada el programa AICLE está implantado en varias materias, entre las cuales se encuentra Geografía e Historia. Los grupos que trabajarán el AICLE pertenecen a los siguientes niveles: 1ºESO, 3ºESO, 4ºESO.
A través del inglés en el aula, nuestros alumnos podrán mejorar su competencia lingüística en inglés a la par que estudiar los contenidos relacionados con la materia: Geografía física del planeta, geografía humana, la Historia a través de sus edades, fuentes de información y trabajo con mapas, textos, etc. Además, el alumnado utilizará las herramientas digitales y deberá acceder a internet para recabar información en páginas web en inglés y presentar trabajos de investigación sobre una gran diversidad de temas.

In the IES Alonso Quesada, the AICLE program is being implemented in Geography and History among other subjects. The groups that will work on the subject are: 1st ESO, 3rd ESO (D) and 4th ESO (B).
The English language will be used in the classroom and that will help our pupils to improve their linguistic competence, meanwhile they work on the contents of this subject: Physical Geography, Human Geography, History through the ages, sources of information, working with maps, texts etc. Furthermore, the pupils will use digital tools and they should access English language web pages on the internet in order to carry on research on a great diversity of issues.

El programa AICLE invita a toda la comunidad escolar a unirse al Speaking Corner durante el recreo, un espacio donde podrás hablar en inglés en un ambiente relajado y conocer gente con la que compartir la afición por los idiomas. The CLIL Programme invites everyone in the school community to join our weekly Speaking Corner during the break, a space where you can speak in English in a relaxed atmosphere and meet new people with a shared interest in languages.
