La Dirección General de Formación Profesional y Educación de Adultos (DFPEA), with the collaboration of the Island Council of Gran Canaria, will hold the autonomous Professional Training Championships "Canariaskills 2023" on March 21 and 22, 2023. The conference will be held at the Canary Islands Fairgrounds, INFECAR. The first session of the autonomous championship will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the second from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony, which will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday 22. The competitors will be the students enrolled in the first or second year of the different professional training courses, related to the competition modalities of Body Repair, Automobile Technology, Automobile Painting, Woodworking, Fashion Technology, Mechatronics, CNC Milling, Welding, Window dressing, Electrical Installations, Plumbing and Heating, Refrigeration, Social Health Care, Pharmacy and Parapharmacy, Network System Administration, Web Development, Florist, Landscape Gardening, Aesthetics, Hairdresser, Hotel Reception, Restaurant and Bar Service, Bakery, Kitchen. In addition, in the exhibition modalities, the Professional Families of Graphic Arts, Image and Sound, Building and Civil Work, Community Services, Physical Sports Activities, Chemistry, Agriculture, Health, Safety and Environment, Maritime Fisheries, Livestock, Forestry, Training and Labour Orientation and Art School will participate.
In this autonomous championship, energised through the Coordinations of Professional Families, the students selected from public centres in the Canary Islands will compete where the specialties attached to each category of the competition are taught, accompanied by their tutors and tutors, and where members of the Canarian business and institutional sector will collaborate, it will be a meeting point between professionals and the educational system, promoting the transfer It also offers competitors the opportunity to be the ones who will represent our Autonomous Community in the national championship Spainskills 2024.
